About

Truett Baptist Camp is nestled in the mountains of Western North Carolina and is the home place of Southern Baptist minister George W. Truett. The property facilities include air conditioned cabins, a spacious gym, worship center, brand new dining hall, putt putt course, swimming pool, pond, conference center and large field. Located in Hayesville, NC, it's easily accessible from North Georgia and Southeast Tennessee.

Truett Camp is the home of Youth Music Week. This week is co-ed and geared toward students who are interested in combining a love for music with a love for Christ. Being excellent at music is not a requirement; having a love for music is! We offer opportunities for instrumentalists as well as vocalists. Our daily schedule includes choir rehearsals, meals, Snack Shack, Music Theory, free time, worship and classes. Campers are offered a variety of classes which may include sign language, interpretive movement, instrumental or vocal ensemble, drama, percussion, handbells, guitar, Bible study or recreation. Campers at music week will present a choral concert of music learned during the week (see details below). Our music camp mission statement is:

Working to instill in every person a hunger to follow Christ and a passion for music through discipleship, relationship and study.

Youth Music Week is a 6 day, 5 night camp for students entering 7th grade-20 years old. Camp begins on a Sunday and concludes on a Friday. A choral concert will be given on the Wednesday night of camp at a local church and on Friday morning as the conclusion of the week. (For this year's camp dates and details on the concerts click on this year's link at the top.)
